Things to see and do in Greenbushes:

Visit Historic Buildings and go to Goal
Visit historic buildings such as the Goal, Courthouse, Post Office, and two of the original hotels. Get close and personal with history by going into the old goal and take a photo as a memento!

Amble Walk
There is a Heritage Walk that takes you around the town giving insight into characters and buildings of the past. It has an associated brochure and game to play as you tour the town.

Greenbushes Discovery Centre Discovery Centre
Visit the Heritage Tourism Award Winning Discovery Centre with an overview of the history, fauna and flora and an replica underground mine with the opportunity to set off a simulated mine blast. Great for adults and children.
Greenbushes Community Garden  Greenbushes Community Garden in the centre of town is a space to grow food together, nurture friendships, share knowledge and grow community spirit. 
Thomson Park Greenbushes Parks, Gardens and Camping
There is a new and bright children’s play area in Thomson Park; examples of historic mining equipment in the Heritage Park; Frog  pond and a native bee hotel at the Community Garden and a free camping area near the sports field.

Greenbushes Pool Boardwalk The Greenbushes Pool Boardwalk
An area dredged for tin in the early 1900s is now a picnic area with a rotunda, barbecue, children’s play area and a walk with interpretive signage about the natural fauna and flora. A great place to have a barbecue, enjoy the boardwalk and the peacefulness of the location at any time of the year.
   

Water Bird Environment Conservation Area
Another of the past mining workings has become an area for bird conservation with the aim of being a breeding area for endangered birds. Conservation plays a big part in Greenbushes.

Mine Lookout and Open Day
Visit the mine lookout to view the open cut mine and also see the replica of a Mining Hut.
Once every two years there is a very popular mine open day with a tour of the current mine.

Greenbushes Cemetery
On the south west highway between Greenbushes and Bridgetown there is the Greenbushes Cemetery.
Although not the first cemetery there are many old restored graves that give an insight into early Greenbushes.

Walks of Discovery
There are three forest walk trails that begin and end at the Heritage Park.
Mining Heritage Walk with its historic tunnel and several mine shafts.
New Zealand Gully two hour walk with water features and forests.
Greenbushes loop that connects to the Bibbulmun Track
Wattle Walk: A free guided walk in August each year.

Winter Weekend in Greenbushes
Once a year, usually August, there is winter weekend in Greenbushes with a variety of events from workshops to social events designed to appeal to adults and children.
